QRU merger with MRFPD

4:44 pm July 5th, 2012

The Melba Quick Response Unit has recently merged with the Melba Rural Fire Protection District. The great quick response by the certified emergency medical technicians will continue to be the same as it has for some 30 years.

Many of the Melba Fire Department volunteers are also cross trained QRU members. At this point in time it seemed to make sense to both organizations to join forces together and become “Melba Fire and QRU”.

A public meeting will be held to answer any concerns the patrons of the Melba Rural Fire Protection District might have concerning this merger on Thursday night, July 12, 6 pm at the Melba Fire Station, 408 Carrie Rex Ave. in Melba. Commissioners of the district, as well as QRU members and Fire Department volunteers will be on hand.
