Keith Elwood Fuhriman, 88 of Nampa passed away Monday, November 5, 2012 at a local hospital. Keith was born February 18, 1924 in Kuna to George Washington and Mary Louise Shoenhals Fuhriman. He was the youngest child of the family of five boys and four girls. He married his life long sweetheart Norna Harpster on May 25, 1944 and enjoyed 68 years of marriage. They had four children born into their family: Winston (Wynn) of Boise, Kathy Macdowall of Idaho Falls, Judy Mease of Kuna and Kristi Losee of South Jordan, Utah.
Keith was a life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed serving when asked. Keith farmed in Kuna and then in 1961 moved to Alaska where he lived for eight years, fishing commercially in the summer and working at other jobs in the winter. They moved back to Idaho in 1969 and began working at Union Pacific Railroad in Nampa.
Keith is survived by his sweet wife Norma; his sister Arlene Terry of Florida; his four children; 25 grandchildren and 80 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 10 at the Nampa West LDS Stake Center, 1500 Smith Ave, Nampa. A viewing will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, November 9 at the Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd, Nampa (467-7300) and at the church from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Saturday, prior to the services.
