Kuna Police and Ada County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating after destroyed guns were found in the Kuna Cave Sunday morning.
According to the Ada County Sheriff’s Office, a witness called police early today after finding seven guns – two handguns and five long guns – in the cave. Deputies responded to collect the weapons.
Investigators say the long guns had been broken apart. They have determined the guns were the same weapons reported as stolen from a home on West Isabella Street overnight Wednesday.
Investigators say the homeowner reported approximately $12,000 worth of property, including the guns, as stolen sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday morning. They continue to investigate to determine who is responsible for the burglary.
Anyone with information about the burglary on West Isabella or the guns found in the Kuna Cave this morning is asked to call Ada County Sheriff’s dispatch at 377-6790.
