The 64th Annual Melba Community Auction takes place this Saturday, Jan. 26 in Potter Gymnasium at Melba High School.
The outside auction begins at 10 a.m. in the parking lot outside of the school; inside auction begins at 11 a.m. in Potter Gymnasium.
A wide variety of items, such as wine baskets, event tickets, a 65-inch flat screen television, homemade quilts, livestock, hay and feed, fishing trips, birdhouses, personalized cakes, gift baskets, handcrafted items, country store goodies, three “live” feeder pigs, and a 1981 Ford F150 in “very good shape,” and much more will be on the auction block.
Melba Students will also be on hand, selling raffle tickets for $1 each/6 for $5 with raffle prizes, including a grand prize of $1,000 cash, ten individual cash prizes of $100 each, a half a beef and two half hogs.
The kitchen will be serving food, including the traditional turkey and noodles along with other delicious foods. Caramels, suckers, fudge, popcorn balls and scone dough will also be available at the auction.
The Melba Community Auction provides disaster relief and support to the people of Melba and other local organizations.
