Melba hosted McCall-Donnelly on Saturday night in a thriller that kept the teams neck and neck right down to the wire.
The largest difference in points at the end of any quarter was three points.
By the end of the first the score was tight with 5-8 with McCall leading.
By half time the score was tied 26-26.
Third quarter brought another three point difference at 35-38.
In the last few seconds of the game with the score 47-48 with McCall leading, Chris Young of Melba was fouled and stepped up to take two shots.
Young sunk them both bringing Melba in the lead.
With some aggressive blocking, the Mustangs prevented any more scoring from McCall to finish the game
Leading scorers from Melba were Andrew Murray with 12 points, Chris Young with nine, Coy Jones and Triston Hylton with seven each.
McCall-Donnelly leaders were Bryson Powers with 10 points, Jeff Bomer and Billey Shipley each with nine.
