The Firemen’s Easter Breakfast will be on March 31st at the Melba Fire Station from 7AM – 1PM. Gun, Quilt and General Raffle. Menu: Pancakes, Eggs, Hash browns, Sausage, Ham and Coffee/juice/milk/chocolate milk.
This is the 36th year that the Melba Firefighters have cooked breakfast for the community. It has grown over the years and we expect 700-800 people to attend our one and only fundraiser. Many folks that live around Melba and the surrounding area have served their community by being involved in the Fire Department or the QRU (Quick Response Unit). We are very thankful for these folks as well as the current firefighters & EMT’s who drop what they’re doing and respond when someone in our community has an emergency, day or night. As you know, we’ve recently joined our Fire and QRU departments so the people responding are able to utilize their fire and/or EMS skills if they’re training to do so. It’s an enhanced service that we’re now able to provide in Melba and the surrounding area.
Proceeds from the event are put back into our community by funding; training, equipment, clothing, burnout relief, and special community events. The admission price is still $5 for 13yr and up, $4 for 6-12, and 5 and under is free. 60+ are $4.
