Kuna Man Attacked, Police Seek Help
Kuna Police Department is seeking help in an attempt to identify the individual depicted in a composite sketch released last week. The suspect was involved in an aggravated battery that took place in front of the Red Eye Saloon, 414 West Main Street, in Kuna on early Sunday morning, April 7, 2013 at 2:19 a.m.
According to the wife of the victim, when her husband was outside smoking a cigarette he was challenged by the suspect who had just had an exchange of words with the bouncer of the Red Eye Saloon. After the victim threw his hands up to show he wasn’t interested in fighting, the suspect allegedly punched the man causing him to fall and hit his head on a concrete planter and then the sidewalk.
The victim, a Kuna man who asked to remain anonymous, suffered severe injuries from the attack when he fell after being punched. His wife said he had a four-inch gash from his hairline to his eyebrow, a fractured skull and a broken nose that resulted in an overnight stay in the ER and an additional night in ICU to monitor bleeding in his skull. According the victim, he does not remember the attack nor his attacker.
The victims wife said that the bouncer at the Red Eye Saloon provided the description for the composite sketch. The description of the suspect released by the Ada County Sheriff’s Office is described as a while male with a darker complexion, weighing approximately 160 pounds, with buzz cut black hair and wearing a gray tank top.
If you have any information regarding this crime or can identify the individual in the sketch, please contact Detective Krista Ducharme at 577-3851 or Ada County Dispatch at 377-6790.
