Nearly 220 horseback riders enjoyed a beautiful day as they rode the two-hour western trail around the Blackstock Ranch on the Wilson Butte 4-H club trail ride. Fun run winner Kelly Wieting chose a headstall followed by Gavin McDaniel a nice saddle pad donated by Bass Auto body. Lunch was served and everyone enjoyed the cow chip cookies with cold milk donated by the Idaho dairymen while the Dan Sevy Band entertained and played country music. The loudest yells and roping skills won Mason McDanial and Sammy Saunders the trophy honors for the best dressed little buckaroos. Teresa Prow won the western quilt made by Lisa Merritt, Inez Jaca won the $100 gas card and Rocsy Reed won the hay donated by Lath Calloway trucking. Being Rocsy lives in the state of Washington, she then donated the hay towards the Marsing hope house. Top ticket sales for the third year in a row went to club member, Megan Smith 1st and 2nd to Tyler Roberts.
