After the approval of the minutes from the previous meeting the Kuna City Council approved a park fee waiver request for use of Bernie Fisher Park on Tuesday, July 30 for a Girl Scouts Day Camp. The camp will be open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for all children and include arts & crafts, water games and other projects.
Resolution R18-2013 was adopted establishing water fees for connecting to the water system. This resolution increases water fees during the irrigation season for those residents inside and outside Kuna city limits who have been receiving a discounted water rate. (See next week’s issue for a more complete explanation of these changes.)
John Marsh, Kuna City Treasurer, presented updated information regarding the 2014 budget workshop.
In new business, Pat Jones, the event chairman for Kuna Days gave the last update to City Council before the event on August 2 and 3. He requested permission to put up signs on city property prior to the event reminding everyone that the fireworks will be on Saturday night instead of the traditional Friday night.
Finally, a resolution was adopted allowing the Mayor to clear up an old rights-of-way issue with the LDS church property at the corner of Avalon Street and Linder Avenue.
