In the late evening of Friday, August 23, three vehicles in Kuna were damaged by water balloons thrown from oncoming traffic damaging their windshields.
The first incident occurred around 11:50 p.m. when a woman in a Chevy Suburban was struck by a water balloon while eastbound on Kuna Road, near the S. Yankee Rock Ave. intersection. She identified the vehicle as a light-colored sedan.
Seven minutes later, a man driving a Jeep southbound on Black Cat Road near the Columbia Road intersection said his windshield shattered after being hit by something — at the same time a dark-colored SUV drove by in the opposite lane.
At 12:11 a.m. on Saturday, a driver westbound on Columbia Road, near the Buffalo Creek Lane intersection, saw headlights coming toward him in the eastbound lane — right before a water balloon hit his windshield.
His windshield cracked from the impact. Police later found a piece of red rubber balloon on the ground near where the car was hit.
The distance between all three reports is a little more than five miles.
