Kuna Girls Soccer

Gabby Callis scored five goals in a 9-2 win over Nampa last week.

Paige Brower and Jaylee McInerney each scored two goals.

Goalie Charlie Rielly made nine saves. Sydney Sandburg had two assists, Jodi Lewis had one.

On September 3, Kuna beat Caldwell 9-0. Gabby Callis had three goals and there was one goal each for Jodi Lewis, Alec Ling, Sydney Sandburg, Jaylee McInerney, Paige Brower and Emily Shreeve. Also impressive
was Caldwell goalie Lita Forse with 17 saves.


Melba Cross Country Girls Win Meet

The Melba girls cross country team won their first meet of the season taking four of the top five spots in the ten-school field. The Lady Mustangs were able to run their race at New Plymouth in between downpours of Thursday’s thunderstorms.  The boys’ race was cancelled due to the weather.  The Mustangs are no longer the Cinderella team after taking home the runner-up trophy in last year’s state meet. They are now the team to beat in the district and are looking to be very competitive at the state level.

Kuna Cross Country

The Kuna cross country boys team placed 7th in a field of 13 teams in last weeks Caldwell Twilight Meet on September 6 with Kuna girls bringing home a 9th place finish.
