Jeff Lowe from Ada County Highway District presented to the Kuna City Council at the last city council meeting the findings from the latest public input regarding the Kuna overpass. The feasibility study determined that five options are the most preferred, an Avalon to Avalon bridge, an extension of Meridian Road south, a 1ten Mile Road crossing and two options for a Swan Falls to Linder Road bridge.
Upon discussion of the various options reported previously in Kuna Melba News, the council seemed to prefer a combination of the two Swan Falls to Linder Road diagrams.
It was requested that the council develop their final preference prior to the findings being presented to the ACHD Commission. ACHD plans on releasing the draft plan to the public on November 5 and will plan on a public meeting on or near November 19. By early December or January the plan will be presented to the commission.
Lowe also announced that at the 2013 APA Idaho Awards the 2012 Kuna Downtown Corridor Plan won the award for outstanding plan this year.
