Falcon Ridge Public Charter School broke ground Sept. 26 for a permanent school facility at the corner of West Avalon Street and South Ten Mile Road in Kuna.

Since 2004, Falcon Ridge has served students from modular units at the 7.5-acre site. The new facility will be 20,380 square feet with 10 classrooms and a full gymnasium. Current enrollment is 261 students in kindergarten through eighth grade, and that number will remain the same after construction is complete.

“The board and staff at Falcon Ridge Public Charter School are extremely excited for the construction and completion of the new permanent building,” said Vaughn Goodman, school board chairman. “This is a very important step in the long-term growth and vision for Falcon Ridge
Public Charter School to continually serve Kuna-area students.”

“We’re proud to help Falcon Ridge Charter School fulfill its goal of a brick-and-mortar, full-service facility to support student education,” said Aaron Elton, vice president and real estate commercial loan officer for Zions Bank.
