One child was killed and four transported to area hospitals on Thursday morning after a dump truck t-boned it just before 8 a.m. An eastbound Kuna School District school bus on Deer Flat Road was hit by the northbound dump truck on Happy Valley Road as the bus crossed the intersection.
The bus driver was shaken up and taken to the hospital but officials on scene said she was not physically injured. The bus was transporting 12 children from sixth grade and lower to Crimson Point Elementary School. Idaho State Police are continuing to conduct an investigation throughout the day. The crash occurred in Canyon County. Although the Kuna school is in Ada County, the Kuna School District boundaries cross over both Canyon and Ada Counties.
