Dick was born to the late Frederick and Lucille Kirkbride, November 12, 1939 in Port Huron, MI. After travelling extensively in his young years, he spent most of his adult life in California. He married Jenny Hadeler in 1987 on the Central Coast of California, where they lived before retiring in Kuna, ID.
Dick was a traveler and storyteller with a pioneering spirit, who loved discovering what was around the next bend. He owned and operated his own trucking business and had an entrepreneur’s heart; always treading new ground, looking for the next opportunity to do more and be more. Following retirement in recent years, he and his wife Jenny traveled cross-country by RV. Dick was also a lifelong member of the Elks Lodge.
Dick is survived by his wife, Jenny Kirkbride; children, Michelle Haines, Katie Gibson, Daniel Kirkbride, and Rachel Kirkbride; grandchildren, Alisha Haines, Tyler Gibson, Montgomery Gibson and John Gibson; great-grandchildren Addisyn Smith and Amyia Grim; and brother, James Kirkbride.
