A message from their coaches…
With outstanding success, the Firm Foundation Speech and Debate Club competed in the ID National Open Speech and Debate Tournament held on January 9th – 11th at the NNU campus and the College Church of the Nazarene. Of the thirteen competitors from Firm Foundation, eleven qualified for the Regional Tournament in one or more events and three qualified directly to the National Championship Tournament. As coaches, we are extremely proud of each of these students in regards to their performance and the exceptional way they handled themselves during this event. This being the first speech and debate tournament for most of our students, their performance competing against almost 250 outstanding speakers from across the nation was admirable.
