By David Klinchuch: A few weeks ago, a Kuna School English Teacher wrote an editorial on Common Core that appeared in the KMN. As I remember, the teacher generally agreed with the tenets of Common Core and the implementation of standards. His disagreements were the amount of testing required against those standards and teacher assessments based upon students Common Core scores. The evolution of education on America is a Hegelian dialectic process and the proponents (or I should say change agents) of Common Core want keep the argument focused on the issues stated by this teacher. Just go to any Luna (Idaho Superintendent of Schools) meeting on Common Core. The requirement for standards is stressed over and over, thereby, diverting discussions on other dire aspects of Common Core. Folks, Common Core
is Fascism / Marxism 101 where the Federal Government and selected parasite corporations will have complete control of your
children’s education, and not for their benefit.

our system of education to a business model. Basic functional literacy and workforce skills will replace the teaching of academic subject matter.
There are many aspects to mind control, but this response is limited to mind control by education. Realize that the human mind is a software program and as such it can be programmed to react to external stimuli in a predictive manner. A student taught in the old classical methods which stressed critical thinking will base their decisions upon facts. However, the modern education system is tending toward Pavlovian Dog Training where the students decisions are guided by authoritative group think and emotions. An example of this is global warming (now climate change) where a guesstimated 50 percent of the World’s population have bought into the idea that it is caused by carbon dioxide. The fact that carbon dioxide makes up only about 0.01 percent of the Earth’s atmosphere is lost on emotional claims, such as, Polar Bears are dying because of disappearing polar ice. The actual facts are that anthropogenic warning of the earth is impossible and the polar bear (which can swim over 50 miles) population has actually increased by a factor of five over the past 50 years.
A key tenant of Common Core is that “funding” will follow the child. The ultimate goal is to direct most of the educational funding to corporate controlled Charter schools, and thereby cause the public schools to fail. Charter schools will have corporate boards that will be beholden to the Federal Government and will essentially eliminate the local school boards and input from the parents. Also, private schools will not be exempt from Common Core. Once any money is accepted from the Federal Government, the school will be forced to teach and test to the Common Core Standards.
Once Charter Schools take over the education process, failing public schools (by design) will be shut down. Skilled and experience educators will be eliminated because corporations will use technology where only one teacher will be required to teach thousands of students. Hello, to the Bill
and Melinda Gates Foundation that is pushing Common Core with grants and trickery to the States for implementation of Common Core.
I realize that newspaper space is limited, and therefore, I must cut this short. My intent was to provide references for educators to study the horrible consequences of Common Core; however, there has been a computer crash at the reference source. Hopefully,
I can provide these next week.
In summary, don’t be fooled into arguing only STANDARDS. That is where facilitators, such
as Mr. Luna, want to keep the argument.
