The last gun shoot was a bluebird day. The sun was bright, very little wind and people were shedding their coats. The crowd seems to be dwindling as we near spring as it always does. Lots of people went south for the winter and others were probably taking advantage of the weather for outside chores.
There were 15 in the custer and the other trap had about the same.
Quite a few members bought raffle tickets for the Jamie Givens benefit coming up this next Saturday. It is greatly appreciated. They have sold 175 tickets from trapshooter.com to shooters who live as far away as Minnesota. Tthe benefit will be a big success. They will be drawing tickets out at 3:00 p.m. and will draw until every prize is gone.
This benefit will not be a potluck as was first mentioned. There will be food for sale with every dime going towards the benefit. Tickets are available if and they will be selling them all day on Saturday up to 3:00 p.m.
The shoots will be all kinds of games at $5 each with a $5 payout for every 5 shooters. The purpose of this event is to raise money for Jamie’s cancer treatments. Starts at 11:00 a.m., Saturday.
