There will be a couple of people from the Canyon County Assessor’s office at the Center on Thurs. March 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help you with your Property Tax Reduction application. Be sure you bring your proof of last year’s income. There will be flyers here at the Center on Tues. the 4th with instructions if you need them. Deadline for the applications is April 15, 2014. You don’t have to be a member of the Melba Center to participate.
The Nationwide program of exercise and conditioning is ongoing at the Melba Center every Tues. and Thurs. morning beginning at 10 a.m. Everyone is invited to participate and you do not need to be a member of the Senior Center; and you don’t have to be over 60 years of age.
On Thurs. March 13 following the noon luncheon we will be privileged to hear David Leroy, former Idaho Attorney General, talk about Abraham Lincoln and his connection to the history of Idaho becoming a state. This will be a presentation by the Melba Valley Historical Society. Make plans to attend the luncheon that day and enjoy a wonderful program.
Our new bookkeeper, Tracy Dalton, celebrated her birthday this past Monday. Next week Jerry Coleman will celebrate on Friday March 7 and Gail Schleh will be a year older on Sunday, the 9th.
This week we will be eating Tuna Melt, Clam Chowder, Green Salad and Dessert. Breakfast on
νTues. March 4th will be French toast, eggs and bacon and fruit. Dinner.
νMarch 6 will feature Chicken & Dumplings with potatoes, carrots, fruit and green salad.
