Nicole Kirtley, who pled guilty to manslaughter as part of a plea deal for the killing of George Richardson Jr., is facing additional charges but they are unrelated to her previous infraction. Apparently she was arrested for a DUI in Ada County several months before the on February 7, 2013, crime with Richardson. Ada County decided to hold off on charging her until her legal situation was settled with Canyon County. She was charged and booked last Friday, February 7, 2014, for an incident that occurred October 13, 2012.
Kirtley is scheduled or sentencing on the manslaughter charge April 1 and prosecutors are recommending a nine to 30 year sentence. Kirtley had two other DUI arrest prior to this; one on May 17, 2011, and another two days later. Both were in Caldwell. She was found guilty for both those infractions and served 50 days of a 180-day sentence. Kirtley is currently being held in the Owyhee County Jail due to overcrowding at the Canyon County Jail according to Canyon County officials.
