We locked the door and went away
Thinking everything was alright
But as we returned back “home”
We couldn’t believe the sight.
For our beautiful home was just “ashes”
With still some smoke to arise
We had to take a second look
For we just couldn’t believe our eyes.
The pictures and other keepsakes
Were no more than a memory now
We had to go to sleep and dream
To ever get a memory view.
That’s why we need to share those pictures
With you friends and family
So, maybe some of those we sent
Can be copied and sent back to me.
We hope that you had fire insurance
So that you can get a new start
For we’d hate to see you left with nothing
After fire did it’s part.
