The Kuna Education Foundation (KEF) would like to recognize some of Reed Elementary’s teachers and staff that have been utilizing the resources available to them by filling out grant applications. The mission of the Kuna Education Foundation (KEF) is to enhance education for the youth by assisting teachers and programs with grant resources. Recently, KEF approved and awarded two grants for children education projects.
Kelly Olson at Reed Elementary applied for a Literacy Grant. The Literacy grant will provide valuable dollars to purchasing non-fiction books and Common Core study material for 2nd Grade students. KEF is proud to award available resources to develop reading and learning.
The second grant was awarded to Sari Stewart, Wava Kauffman, Jake Dobson for the Kuna Butte Grant. Reed Elementary students have attended field day trips to the Kuna Butte to be educated in environmental awareness, land conservation and clean-up.
How can you be involved? First, be aware of the benefits that KEF has to offer and consider how you can help. If you have donations available to pledge to KEF and would like that tax break incentive; go to kunaedfoundation.org to fill out forms. Second, if you are teacher or an organizer of some educational service; also go to kunaedfoundation.org to fill out forms.
KEF looks forward to receiving more grant applications and awarding resources to promote your child’s education.
