Last weekend’s benefit shoot was pretty wet as it rained all day, but the shooters came out of the woodwork (all 69 of them). The total amount of money raised was $8,500 including all the shoots (less target money), raffle tickets sales and donations, food sales, t-shirt sales etc.
A big thanks too all that helped and there were many! The volunteers really came through. There are way too many people who played a part in the success of this benefit to mention!
Jamie’s uncle (Tom Knutson) donated $1,500 to raffle tickets. He won two of the guns and numerous other prizes including the $150 cash. He donated a lot of it back. Anne Innsbrenner won the Winchester model 74. There were tons of other prizes won also, cash, meat, blankets, gun cases, pistol cases, shell pouch’s, shell boxes, Givens Hot Springs pass’s, candy, gift certificates to Bucks Saloon, Blue Canoe and Blue sky cafe, knives, Unloader shell cutter, cord of wood (which Deb and Lou won and donated to the club.) People baked some wonderful pies and other foods all of which was sold for the benefit.
A special thanks to David Harrington and wife and mother. His mother bought a large box of black T-shirts with pink writing “Bustin birds for boobs”. There must have been at least 75 shirts which all sold for $20 each.
