Sirens blared through the rain early Thursday morning headed towards what witnesses who called in said was a car in Indian Creek. Emergency personnel from Kuna, Eagle and a Boise dive team were called in to a stretch of Indian Creek behind Indian Creek Elementary.
Rescuers searched downstream and discovered a car, resembling a Cadillac overturned in the water, hung up on rocks. Only it wasn’t full size. It was a child’s toy, upside down and within arms reach of shore.
Kuna Fire Capt. John Charlton told the Idaho Statesman that it could have been mistaken for a full-sized car if seen from a distance.
Emergency personnel were concerned that a child may have been using the toy when it went in the creek but after inspection discovered that the toy had been stripped of the motor, battery and steering wheel.
It seems that Kuna may have an illegal toy car chop shop for police to find now.
