|Idaho Falls, ID – Today Bryan Smith’s campaign released its second television ad “Guardian Angel.” The significant ad buy is running in the Twin Falls and Idaho Falls media markets.
Since the Simpson campaign cannot run on the liberal record of Congressman Mike Simpson then all they can do is smear mud about Bryan Smith. Bryan Smith has fought hard for his clients over the past 20 years, just the way he will fight hard in Washington for the people of Idaho’s second congressional district.
The video tells the story of Shellie Long Kendrick. When Shellie was thirteen years old, she was diagnosed with cancer. The insurance company decided that it was a pre-existing condition, and they were not going to cover her medical bills.
Shellie and her mother came to Bryan at a time when they had no idea what they were going to do. Bryan spent over five years fighting the insurance company for Shellie. It has been years since Bryan settled Shellie’s case but she says she still knows that Bryan would fight for her the way he did so many years ago.
“It’s embarrassing for Congressman Simpson to stoop this low with his smear campaign against Bryan Smith, and it’s a true sign of his desperation. But when you have a record of supporting higher taxes, more spending and voting for the $700 billion Wall Street bank bailout, I guess all you can do is throw mud,” says Smith campaign manager, Carrie Brown.

“I’m Bryan Smith and I approve this message.”
Shellie Long Kendrick:
“I was thirteen and lived in a little small town called Rigby, Idaho.”
“The insurance company said, ‘Your cancer was pre-existing.’”
“The first time I met Bryan, this like guardian angel kind of thing swooped in.”
“He was just like, ‘You are going to do fine, you are going to do great. And just tell your story and we are going to win this.’”
“Having help in anyway, it changes your life. And I really just have to say thanks to him.”
