SATURDAY MAY 3rd – Afternoon Racing 2PM
(Boise) Kentucky Derby Day marks the grand opening of the 2014 live horse racing season at Les Bois Park on Saturday May 3. There will be an early afternoon post time of 2:00 pm on Saturday. A live horse racing card takes place before and after the Kentucky Derby which will be shown live from Churchill Downs on TV’s throughout the park at approximately 4:24 pm. Twenty-four hour advanced wagering on the Derby is available at the Turf Club. Les Bois Park will host the ever popular Kentucky Derby Hat Contest along with food and drink specials. Racing fans can win prizes and enjoy the traditional Kentucky Derby festivities.
The 2014 live horse racing season boasts 30 days of racing action Wednesday and Saturday from May 3rd through Saturday August 9th. Two special race cards are slated on Memorial Day May 26th and Friday June 27, 2014. Race day post time is 5:30 pm and the gates open one and a half hours before post time all season. Preakness, Memorial and Belmont days will all have an early post at 2:00 pm. The very popular “Ladies Night” continues each Wednesday evening, and all ladies receive free admission.
