I need to start this article with an apology. In last weeks’ birthdays, I mistakenly listed Bill Proesch (who is no longer with us) instead of Bob Proesch with a birthday on April 24. Thanks to those who were on their toes and informed me of my mistake! Sorry for the confusion!
We have a couple of busy weeks coming up that we are in the midst of preparing for. The first is Clean Up Melba this Saturday, April 26. This is always a good day in Melba with so much community service being done for others. The Senior Center will be providing a continental breakfast for all involved, beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the center. Come and get something in your tummy before going out to do your good deeds for others.
The next activity, which is one of our biggest fund raisers, is the Melba Fun Run/Car Show. This will be the 20th year for the car show and dinner at Melba. We look forward to the day’s activities and appreciate all who participate for the good of our center.
Come and check out our Backroom Bargains! Evelyn has been hard at work putting out many new things and it looks great. There must be something you just can’t live without. Maybe the nice Kodak Printer?
Birthdays for the coming week are Delores Ihli on May 3rd.
Menus for this coming week are:
April 24: Salisbury steak, potatoes, mushroom gravy, peas/carrots, Peaches, milk, juice
April 29: Menu says biscuits & gravy, but that was this week, so come and be surprised
May 1: Turkey pot pit with veggies, cranberry jello, garden salad, dessert, milk, juice
“When I was young, I found out that the big toe always ends up making a hole in a sock. So I stopped wearing socks.” -Albert Einstein. And that’s the Melba Senior News for this week. If you haven’t stopped in for while, come and have lunch or breakfast with us.
