Serving a minimum of nine years before being eligible for parole, Nicole Kirtley, 35, was sentenced to up to 30 years for the death of George Richardson Jr., who was shot to death in his bedroom on February 7, 2013.
Kirtley was orginally charged with murder and grand theft or Richardson’s 1997 Jeep Wrangler which was found in the Snake River south of Melba.
In exchange for a plea agreement, Kirtley was charged with voluntary manslaughter, use of a firearm in the commission of a crime and destruction of evidence.
“I have deep regret for taking George’s life,” said Kirlety at the sentencing. “Not a day goes by that I wish I couldn’t take it back.”
