Thursday August 14th Falcon Ridge Charter School had their ribbon cutting with all of the board members, students and their families’ watch as Bob Purbeck, the longest standing board member. Cut the blue ribbon to officially open the new school building.
After nine years of the school using the portable schoolhouses, Falcon Ridge CS was able to construct the 20,000 + sq ft building in an unheard of nine months.
FRCS holds grades from K-8th. The new building boasts a new beautiful gym as well as a lunchroom. The building is 20,380 sq ft and will be able to house the kids during lunchtime and in the winter instead of having to play outside.
Bob Purbeck commented about the administrations staff and board members, “This could not have been done without those dedicated and amazing people to help this dream come to fruition” after very hard budget cuts and paying off the loan for the property. Purbeck also commented on how the Mayor and the City were fantastic to work with and it made it so much easier to finish the project.
