Letters to the Editor
My parents moved to Kuna two years ago and this is my second year I have planned my visit to coincide with Kuna Days. I’m from (Henderson) Las Vegas, NV.
Round trip ticket from Las Vegas to Boise – $$$$
Concession Food – $$$
Beer Garden – $$
Fireworks Display – Priceless!
Kudos to everyone involved to put together this great two-day event. See you next year!

Kudos to Pat Jones, Kuna Days Chairman.
Last year when Pat Jones came to the Kuna Lions Club, he wanted us to sponsor the Kuna Days Celebration. As a club, we wondered could we take on both Kuna Days and the Car Show. Pat assured us things were under control. He had done this for four years. We agreed to go forward. The things we had to do as a club were minimal.
Pat Jones was everywhere Friday and Saturday during Kuna Days. We found Pat to be an honest person. He is a great organizer and delegator. Pat is a pleasant person to work with too. Our thanks to Pat, our Hero for a job well done!
We as a club put on the Third Annual Car Show. We were all involved, as well as some of our families and friends. We had a great turnout. We were all exhausted, but, satisfied with its great success.
The prizewinners for the raffle were for the barbecue Sharon Karnes. The airplane trip to Cascade, Bill Brautinheimer. Race car driver at Firebird Raceway for a day, John Messmer. The best of show was awarded to Joseph P. Reger for his 1948 Lincoln Continental coupe.

If you haven’t been by the Pioneer Cemetery here in Kuna, you must take the time and stop and see the beautiful improvement that has been done. It was 100 degrees+ the day my husband and I drove over that way. A young man and his mother were working away and we chatted with them and expressed our gratitude for this. He told us this was his Eagle Scout Project, sorry we didn’t get his name. He has done a wonderful job to help preserve the final resting place of our Kuna forefathers. Please go there and take a moment to see for yourselves. Thanks.
